Dynamic Provisioning with StorageClasses

A StorageClass is the template the cluster uses to provision volumes on demand. Define one with a Retain reclaim policy and lazy binding, then claim a volume from it and watch a Pod bind it.

Your mission

You rarely create PersistentVolumes by hand. Instead a StorageClass describes how to provision storage — which provisioner, what reclaim policy, when to bind — and the cluster creates a volume on demand when a PersistentVolumeClaim asks for that class.

You'll define a StorageClass fast and claim a volume from it, in apps.

kubectl config set-context --current --namespace=apps
